The Black Keys Are Back

Fresh off their three Grammy win for best album for Brothers The Black Keys are back with a new album called El Camino. The album brings back what we love about the soul-rockers with a lot of upbeat songs that are just amazingly written. You should check out the album if you haven't already and let me know what you think. Here's one of their songs from the album called "Run Right Back". Run Right Back

Saint Motel: At Least I Have Nothing

Saint Motel has released a new song on their upcoming first vinyl album called 7 inch which will be released November 28th. The song is called "At Least I Have Nothing" and it is a departure from the playful, quirky tones that the indie pop band is known for. That is not to say that the track is still not great because it is. It also gives the message that sometimes the people who have the least are the people who are most free. In a society that is increasingly becoming based on materialism this can not feel more poignant. Check out the song here and let me know what you think.

New Song From Of Montreal

Of Montreal has released a new song on their website called "Wintered Debts". The band was rumored to have a new album coming out in early 2012 called Paralytic Stalks. Whether this new song will be on the album remains to be seen but what is certain is that this 7 and a half minute number definitely deserves to be somewhere. Check out the song right here on their website

New Los Campesinos!

So Los Campesinos! has an upcoming album coming out and the title track has just been released entitled "Hello Sadness" If the sound on this track is indicituve of what else the album has to offer, dare I say we might have something Arcade Fire-esque? I really like what I hear so far. It's up tempo and with high powered chords that and a rockin chorus. I hope the rest of the album is like this. Check out the song here.

Christmas Songs From She and Him

Christmas in October?  I know it sounds strange but when it's She and Him you kind of accept it and are glad that it's happening. This little cozy acoustic number makes your heart feel a little warmer even through the holidays are still a couple of months away. The song is called the "Christmas Waltz" and it's from She and Him's upcoming album A Very She and Him Christmas. So my advice to you is to let the shock subside and enjoy this very nice little number.

Coldplay:Paradise

Another song from Coldplay's upcoming album has been released entitled "Paradise". The album entitled Mylo Xyloto (yeah have no idea what that means either) is in stores October 24th. The song incorporates more piano playing from Chris and also a more synth type feel. The chorus feels very futuristic and this song is sure to be a hit when they perform it live in concert. Check out the song and let me know what you think.

Wavves and Best Coast Collaboration

Indie rockers Wavves and Best Coast have finally decided to collaborate on a song. The track entitled "Nodding off" is a fun and grungy little number that will probably have you clapping along to the beat. Sometimes when bands you think should get together actually do it doesn't always turn out as planned. This time it's not the case however. The song can be found on the new EP from Wavves entitled Life Sux which is going to be out September 20th.

Another New Blink 182 Song

Blink 182 released another new single from their upcoming album Neighborhoods called "Heart's All Gone". This song reminds me of what we saw from their last self-titled release. It also demonstrates why Travis Barker is one of the best drummers out there. Check it out here.

Beirut Album Out Now

Hey guys, so because some tracks were leaked early the band Beirut decided to move the release of their new album The Rip Tide up from its August 30th date. Weezer and The Flaming Lips Team Up

So Weezer and The Flaming lips recently joined together in Jersey to perform two shows there. I don't mean that they had a concert together but they literally shared the stage together. Well here is video of the two bands performing The Flaming Lips' 1990 hit "She Don't Use Jelly". Rivers Cuomo sings he song no less. Check out this awesome combo.

Music From Singapore

So the band Singapore has put out some new music and not only is the music entertainingly witty and fun but the band themselves seem like they're that way too. Most things named after a country aren't meant to disappoint and these guys don't either so check them out Here and see what you think.  You can also download the album if you want as well.

Big Deal Music Should Be A Big Deal

So in recent years a lot of guy/girl duos have come up like the White Stripes, She and Him, and Beach House just to name a few. Well now a new one can be added to the mix, the London duo Big Deal have released their song called "Chair" and while they may not be as edgy as the White Stripes they are less poppy than She and Him and they have the right amount of folksiness and harmony to have a very bright future. Check them out Here and see why Big Deal should be that way very soon.

New Blink 182

Blink 182 have released their new single "Up All Night" which is going to be on their new album released in September. The song seems more like what the band put out on their last album. I think it's great that the band has chosen to mature its sound rather than to continue holding on to the high school schtick which they clearly aren't a part of anymore. We'll see what the rest of the album has to bring but check out the song here.

My Morning Jacket Covers The Muppets

My Morning Jacket is one of the band's that lent themselves to covering the songs that the Muppets made famous on a tribute album to go along with the Muppets movie which will be released on August 23rd. The song My Morning Jacket covers is "Our World" which was originally featured on a Christmas special. I have to say that MMJ did an outstanding guys and it's going to be great not only to see this movie but to hear all the other covers the other bands put out as well. Check out the song Here

We Were Promised Jet Packs: Exclusive Song

We Were Promised Jet Packs has just released a new song from their upcoming album In The Pit Of The Stomach out October 4th. The Song is called "Act On Impulse" and is really like a slow burning ban fire. It starts out in small fashion but the erupts into this display of awesome power and beauty. Hopefully the rest of the album has more tracks like this as I am really impressed by this track. You can check out the new track at this link Here. Let me know what you think.

New Gomez Music!

Gomez has recently put out their new album called Whatever's On Your Mind.  The first single the band released from the album is called "Options". The song has a very whimsical feel to it and a very catchy chorus to go along with it. Using words from a Dr. Seuss book really can't hurt things and just makes you feel extremely happy after listening to it. The album is out right now and check out the video for their song here.

Tigers: from Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks

Here is another Song From Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks that they just released before their album comes out on August 23rd. It's called "Tigers" and it has some pretty funny lyrics in it just like their last single "Senator" does. Check it out.

New Song From Mumford and Sons

So if you haven't heard about Mumford and Sons you really need to get a jump on it. The band has recently been on tour and stopped by a Colorado radio station to perform their hit song "The Cave" and also perform a new unreleased song that is yet to be titled. The new song has been dubbed "Home" by listeners of it and if the band is working on a new album I hope it sounds a lot like this song. The song is very mellow and slow but has a very strong emotional pull to it and brings along the folksy feel to it that we have come to expect from them. Check out the song Here and see for yourself.

New Taking Back Sunday Album

Taking Back Sunday released their new self titled album last week. The reason the band went with the self titled theme is because this is the first time since the band's debut album that all original band members are back together. For those of you who missed the original line up this will be a welcome surprise for you. Some stand out tracks from the album are "El Paso", "Best Places To Be A Mom", and "This Is All Now". Check them out here on the Fuse show Hoppus on Music and also the song "This Is All Now".

Saint Motel: Puzzle Pieces

Saint Motel has put out a new song called "Puzzle Pieces". Hopefully this means that the band is working on a follow up to the band's last album For Play. The track starts off with a very Matt and Kim like piano riff but then definitely goes into the very playful nature of Saint Motel that people have come to enjoy. I really like this single that they put out and hopefully there is more like this to come.

New Song From The Killers

The Killers have said that they have about four or five songs written down to follow up their 2008 album Day and Age. The band recently played one of those songs in a live show that they did in London. The song is called "The Rising Tide" and it is pretty freaking awesome. The song starts off with the keyboards but then eases into what most people would expect from The Killers. Hopefully the rest of their album comes out as good as this song check it out here.

Another New Colplay Song

So Coldplay released another new song ahead of the release of their EP Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall coming this Sunday. The song called "Moving To Mars" is very somber with Chris Martin leading on the piano and then slowly picking up a little bit with the inclusion of guitar and drums. It is kind of appropriate that the song has a kind of spacey vibe to it. You really do feel like you could be floating towards outer space near the end of this song.

Nick Cave And Neko Case Cover The Zombies

So True Blood is a huge show that airs on HBO. The premiere of the new season hits the tv screen this Sunday June 26th. For the premiere Nick Cave and Neko Case teamed u to perform a duet cover of The Zombies hit song "Shes Not There". Neko Case does a great job on the bridge and the verses and Nick Cave appropriately adds the creepy factor on the chorus. After all, the show is about vampires, werewolves, and fairies. You can check out the song if you tune into the show this Sunday. However, if vampires aren't really your thing you can check out the song Here

New Song From Bombay Bicycle Club

Bombay Bicycle Club has released their new song "Shuffle" from their upcoming album A Different Kind Of Fix which is coming out August 29th. The album comes back to the band's more conventional pop roots but also brings in the interesting piano riff that adds a bit of a house/ragtime feel to the song. The uplifting chorus only adds to the pleasure you feel after hearing the track.  The name of their album says it all and judging by the first track it truly will be.

The Black Keys Take On Buddy Holly

The Black Keys have decided to cover the Buddy Holly song "Dearest". The band puts a very laid back vibe to the song which was a ballad and I think does a very good interpretation of the song. The Black Keys open up the album Rave On Buddy Holly which is a tribute album to the late singer. The album is out June 28th and other artists who contribute are Modes Mouse, My Morning Jacket, Florence and the Machines,  Fiona Apple, Ce-Lo, She and Him, and Julian Casablanca from The Strokes. It seems like they got a lot of great artists to contribute to this album and I'm sure it will be great when it comes out.

Two New Coldplay Songs

Coldplay has put out two new songs coming from their upcoming album. The first is "Major/Minus" which is less like the first single the released "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" but still has an interesting feel to it especially with the focus on the acoustic guitar. The next song the released is "Hurts Like Heaven". This song is more like what people are used to hearing from Coldplay in the past and is sure to win over current fans of the band. Check out the two songs here and see what you think.

The Rapture: How Deep Is Your Love

So when most people hear the words "how deep is your love" they immediately think of the Bee Gees hit song. Now dance/punk band The Rapture want people to start thinking of them when you hear the song. The band returns with their new album entitled In The Grace Of Your Love out September 6 and the first single from that album "How Deep Is Your Love" has been released. The song definitely does have a disco vibe to it and while you may not want to show your attraction to this song, when you find yourself dancing to the beat you'll realize that it is a pretty great song. Check out the video Here

Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks

In a time where there seems to be a never ending amount of political sex scandals, a more perfect song could not have been released. Stephen Malkmus and the Jucks have released the song "Senator" from their upcoming album Mirror Traffic and if you don't believe me when I say the song is perfect, well how about when I say that the chorus is "what the Senator wants is a blow job". It doesn't get much better than that ladies and gentlemen and the song is even pretty catchy too. You'll probably be singing along to it yourself, just so long as no one else is around to hear you. Another good sign that this band has promise is that the album was produced by Beck. So let me know what you think and Check out the song here!

Gold Leaves

Gold Leaves which features Seattle based singer/songwriter Grant Olsen released the tittle track from their upcoming album called "The Ornament". The album is going to be released August 16th and the song has a real spacious almost 60's beach vibe to it that is really catchy. it seems like the perfect song for a long trip down the highway. Let me know what you think of the song after you Check it out here!

Another Exclusive From Beirut

Beirut has released another exclusive song from their upcoming album called The Rip Tide which will be out August 30th. The song is entitled "Goshen" and unlike the song "East Harlem" this song starts off exclusively with Zach Condon singing along with the piano. It kind of gives the song a serene and mellow vibe and then the crescendo comes with the addition of the horns and the drums which adds more color to the song. From What I've heard so far I can't wait to hear what the rest of the album has to bring. Let me know what you think and check out the song "Goshen" Here enjoy.

New Song From Beach House

So the dream pop duo Beach House have released a new song that is not on their latest album Teen Dream. The song is called "I Do Not Care For The Winter Song". The song which is sung by Victoria Legrand has an almost haunting feeling to it that just sucks you in and has you entranced. Guitarist and keyboardist Alex Scally complements the vocals perfectly on this track as well. Hopefully after hearing the song you go out and buy their latest album Teen Dream let me know what you think. Check out the song Here

New Single From Beirut: Exclusive

Beirut has released their new single called "East Harlem". I love this song another gem from the band. The single isn't officially released until Monday but you can check it out here. This A-side has a really lovely ornate feel with the strumming of the guitar adding to the upbeat vibe of the song. Let me know what you think of this song. I hope you like it as much as I do check it out Here!

Kaiser Chiefs New Single

The Kaiser Chiefs have just released their new single from their upcoming fourth album. The single is called "Little Shocks" and it sounds a lot less festival friendly than their previous work. It has a kind of creepier feel to it which while it might turn some of the band's original fans off, I think makes them sound much cooler and grown up. I hope that this style makes its way onto the whole album and not just for this single. Check the link Here to listen to the new song.

Coldplay Releases New Song

Coldplay has just released a new single from their upcoming fifth album. The song is called "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall". The song kind of has a dance hall feel to it which is different from the band's previous work. No telling if the rest of the album will sound like this but can't wait to see. Check it out here and let me know what you think.

Meet Mister Heavenly!

Ever wonder what would happen if members of Man Man, Islands, and Modest Mouse got together and formed a band? Well no need to wonder anymore as members from all those bands, and even touring member Michael Cera from Scott Pilgrim and Superbad fame, have come together and formed Mister Heavenly. The band performed at this year's SXSW and have released their debut single "Pineapple Girl". The song kind of has a beachy vibe to it but it actually sounds pretty good. With other track names such as "Bronx Sniper" and "Diddy Eyes" how can this album not miss? Check out pineapple girl Here  and see what you think. You can also listen to the new song entitled ironically enough "Mister Heavenly" and get a free download of the song along with "Pineapple Girl" Here

Two New Songs From Arcade Fire

Fresh off their Album of the year victory this year at the Grammy's, Arcade Fire has released two new songs, "Speaking in Tongues" and "Culture War". This is all in preparation for the release of a deluxe version of their award winning album The Suburbs. "Speaking in Tongues" actually features David Byrne from the Talking Heads on it.  Arcade Fire deserved all the awards they won this past year for their album and if you haven't checked out The Suburbs simply for the fact that you had no idea who they were at the Grammy's, then I highly suggest that you check them out now. In the mean time here is the link to listen to radio rips from the two previously unreleased tracks. Two Arcade Fire Tracks

David Bazan Strange Negotiations

David Bazan recently released his new album Strange Negotiations. While it is not as autobiographical as his previous album Curse Your Branches which many would describe as a breakup letter to God. This album is much more broad based but never the less still has volumes of lyrical intensity scattered all through it. Standouts on the album are "Wolves at the Door", the title track "Strange Negotiations", and "Level with Yourself". This album might leave you dazed at times but in the end you will feel quite content. I highly recommend that you get this album but if you don't want to take my word for it check out the album in its entirety at the following link.  Strange Negotiations full album

My Morning Jacket, Circuital

My Morning Jacket released their new album Circuital yesterday and it is yet another good showing from the band. This album is very subdued but you really do get the sense of how many different genres My Morning Jacket gets their inspiration from. It's nice to see a band not afraid of showing that they have influence from stuff that happened between 30-40 years ago. This album is good from start to finish but major standouts are the title track "Circuital", "Victory Dance", and "You Wanna Freak Out".  While it may be different from their previous albums, MMJ has always been constantly experimenting. I think that if you give this album a chance you really will be pleasantly surprised.  On NPR's first Listen you can hear the album in its entirety Here! enjoy.

Death Cab For Cutie New Album Out Today

Death Cab For Cutie's new album Codes and Keys is officially out today and I must say while it is different from many of the albums that made the band popular like Transatlanticism and The Photo Album and Plans, it definitely is still good and has many of the elements that attracted people to Death Cab in the first place. While I would not say that the whole album is great, there are definitely gems on there and it's a lot better than most of the music that people are putting out there today. "Monday Morning", "Portable Television", and the title track "Codes and Keys" are real standouts on this album. Also if you haven't checked it out, Vh1 Storytellers recently did a show with Death Cab for Cutie. Check Them out performing various songs for a live audience.

Listen to the New Arctic Monkeys Album

So the new Arctic Monkeys album Suck It and See is coming out in the U.S. on June 7th but you can hear it earlier by going to their website and listen to them stream it. From what I've heard they are returning more to the style they had in their debut album Whatever People Say I am That's What I'm Not than their recent album Humbug. Some people will appreciate this as they were not really fans of their most recent release. Me, while I wasn't really a fan of their latest album, I understand that artists have to evolve and experiment a little bit just to stay sane so I wasn't really that bothered. Check the link to stream their new album. Check Out New Arctic Monkeys Album

Weezer Covers Paranoid Android!

When I saw this video of Weezer covering the song "Paranoid Android" from Radiohead it was like ok this is what an aneurysm feels like. Hearing Rivers Cuomo's voice on a Radiohead song is one of the most puzzling things ever. You find yourself really getting into and then realizing, "wait a minute this isn't Thom Yorke, what's going on!". The only way Radiohead can get back in the game now is if they did a cover of "The Sweater Song" and I will be ready and waiting.

Manchester Orchestra Releases Their New Album

Manchester Orchestra released their new album Simple Math recently and it had me thinking about what people say about "great expectations". Well, it was less about what people actually say about great expectations and more about how my great expectations for this album were not disappointed. If you have heard Orchestra's previous albums I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child, and Mean Everything to Nothing, then you know what I'm talking about. After making their debut Manchester Orchestra and lead singer Andy Hull have consistently put out great music with powerful vocals, meaningful lyrics, and the right amount of instrumentation behind it. Simple Math simply continues that tradition. With songs like their first official single the title track "Simple Math" dealing with being able to go through life and actually question inconsistencies instead of accepting them, and the song "Virgin" which deals with the sometimes unrewarding practice of hard work, this album not only is great to listen to it will get you thinking about things in your own life as well. As Manchester Orchestra is seemingly ignoring obnoxious commercial success with lack luster and meaningless music, actually getting listeners of their album to think about something is most likely exactly what they wanted all along.
