With the snaps in the beginning and the the riffs that make it seem like the song is just waiting to be remixed with Kanye’s “Gold Digger” how can you not love this. The arctic Monkeys have put out a new song called “Do I Wanna Know.” If you liked their song R U Mine then you’ll like this one as it has the same dark undertones. Hopefully this means that the band ins going to be releasing a new album soon. Check out the song below.

New Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age have released a new song called “My God is the Sun”. Their new album Like Clockwork will be released June 4th. If this new song is any indication it’s good to have these guys back.

It definitely sounds more like Julian Casablanca’s solo album than it does older strokes stuff but there are some good tracks on here as well. Let me know what you think of the new album.

Finally we get two new official recordings of songs from Vampire Weekend off of their upcoming album Modern Vampires of the City. The two songs are called “Step” and “Diane Young”. Just like the best Vampire Weekend Songs “step” has all of the clever word play that you could ever want. But the song still retains its emotional core and poignant observations. “Diane Young’ is just a fun time all around that everyone should enjoy hearing. Check out both songs below.

She and Him have released the first single for their new album Volume 3 and the song is called “Never wanted Your Love”. Don’t let the title fool you, the song is no somber piece. New Song From the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Album Release Date

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released anew song from their new album Mosquito out April 16th. The song is called “Sacrilege” and it takes you right back to what everyone loves about the Yeahs in the first place. as an added bonus there is a full gospel choir that kicks in near the end of the song that is just killer. Based on this track alone I already have high hopes for this album. So glad these guys are back!

New Albums From Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, and She and Him

So She and Him, The Strokes, and Vampire Weekend all have new albums coming out in the next few months. Rejoice! She and Him’s new album is called Volume 3 which is in keeping with their past volume themed albums. The Strokes come back with Comedown Machine and we’ll see if it results in as much debate as their last album did. Finally, Vampire Weekend is back with their third album called Modern Vampires of the City. If their last two albums are any indication the only way this would not be good is if they decided to go the heavy metal route.

The Strokes are apparently getting ready to release a new album and to show it they have put out a new single called “One Way Trigger”. the song sounds more like Julian Casablanca’s solo album stuff than it does like some of the older Strokes material.
