New Song From the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Album Release Date

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released anew song from their new album Mosquito out April 16th. The song is called “Sacrilege” and it takes you right back to what everyone loves about the Yeahs in the first place. as an added bonus there is a full gospel choir that kicks in near the end of the song that is just killer. Based on this track alone I already have high hopes for this album. So glad these guys are back!

Bloc Party Releases Trailer For New Album Four

Bloc Party is finally back after their really long hiatus and they are going to release a new album entitled Four. The title is fitting as this will be the band’s fourth album and it will be released on August 20th. The band has released a trailer for the new album which shows recording sessions and has snippets of new songs from the album. Check out the trailer above!

Saint Motel Finally Have New Album Release

So Saint Motel have been releasing only singles as of late but now they have finally put out that they are going to release a full length album. The album entitled Voyeur is going to be released July 10th. To celebrate the band has also made available another new single called “1997"″. The song has a slightly nostalgic feel to it and I’m certain that fans will enjoy it. Check out the song here and get excited for the new album from Saint Motel!

Delta Spirit Releases Delta Spirit

Delta Spirit have released their self-titled third album and while lyrically it is not on the same level as their last album History From Below it does show the range that the band has and the different places they can go. This album focuses much more on the instrumentation although there are still tracks such as “Home” and “California” that show the great lyricist that Matthew Vasquez is. Hopefully this will get them out there as becoming one of the more respected groups of indie rock as they clearly show that they can rely on more than acoustic guitars and poignant vocals. M Ward’s new album A Wasteland Companion hits stores April 10th but he has released another new track from the album called “Primitive Girl”. This is a very upbeat and poppy tune from the artist. Stream the New Fanfarlo Album

Our friends at NPR have given us another new musical treat this week by allowing us to hear the entire new Fanfarlo album before its release on Feb 28th. The album entitled Rooms Filled With Light is another good rock-folk album from the group. The band has a way of making a song that would otherwise be melancholy into a joyous experience with a great slow build that only emphasizes the impact. New Song From Blur

So you remember Blur, those guys that were one of the more popular British bands of the 90′s. Well recently while performing a concert in London, the band performed a new song called “Under the West Way”. This gives hope to all the Blur fans out there that a new album will definitely be on its way soon. Add in the fact that all four members of the group are coming together to perform for the first time in three years at this years Brit Awards and I absolutely feel like we will be hearing more from the band in the near future.

Brand New Song From The Shins

So finally 5 years after releasing their last album in 2007, the Shins are back with their new album entitled Port of Morrow out March 20th. The band has released the track “Simple Song” from their new album and if the needed 5 years to produce this I’m glad they took all the time they needed. The music landscape has changed a lot since then but The Shins lovelorn observations and catchy power-pop guitar riffs are what make them able to stay around no matter what changes around them. News On Bloc Party, The Killers, and The Last Shadow Puppets

So a few things have just come out that are starting to make me believe that 2012 is going to turn out to be a great year. The first thing is that bloc Party will finally release their 4th studio album sometime this year. The lead singer has said that the band is currently working on material in New York.

Other good news is that The Killers said that they will also release their 4th album this year as well. According to lead singer Brandon Flowers it's just a matter of whether the album "will be released in the summer time or the winter time". Also don't don't be expecting a rehash of all their other albums on this record, the band wants to not make any sequels and will just take the best parts of everything and go from their.

Finally, Miles Kane has revealed that a new Last Shadow Puppets album is in the works. While he didn't give an exact time frame "maybe this year, maybe next year" Kane did say that they will be releasing something when the time is right. Yep 2012 is already really starting to look up!

The Black Keys Are Back

Fresh off their three Grammy win for best album for Brothers The Black Keys are back with a new album called El Camino. The album brings back what we love about the soul-rockers with a lot of upbeat songs that are just amazingly written. Saint Motel: At Least I Have Nothing

Saint Motel has released a new song on their upcoming first vinyl album called 7 inch which will be released November 28th. The song is called "At Least I Have Nothing" and it is a departure from the playful, quirky tones that the indie pop band is known for. That is not to say that the track is still not great because it is. It also gives the message that sometimes the people who have the least are the people who are most free. In a society that is increasingly becoming based on materialism this can not feel more poignant. Check out the song here and let me know what you think.

Christmas Songs From She and Him

Christmas in October?  I know it sounds strange but when it's She and Him you kind of accept it and are glad that it's happening. This little cozy acoustic number makes your heart feel a little warmer even through the holidays are still a couple of months away. The song is called the "Christmas Waltz" and it's from She and Him's upcoming album A Very She and Him Christmas. So my advice to you is to let the shock subside and enjoy this very nice little number.

Coldplay:Paradise

Another song from Coldplay's upcoming album has been released entitled "Paradise". The album entitled Mylo Xyloto (yeah have no idea what that means either) is in stores October 24th. The song incorporates more piano playing from Chris and also a more synth type feel. The chorus feels very futuristic and this song is sure to be a hit when they perform it live in concert. The Red Hot Chili Peppers are getting ready to release their 10th album I'm With You on August 30th but before then the band decided to stream their album for everyone around the world. The band already released their first single "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" and judging by the rest of the album the boys have still got something left in them. Stream The New Rapture Album for 48 Hours

The Rapture is doing a question and answer session for their fans over twitter and their record company, DFA, is streaming the bands new album In The Grace Of Your Love starting tonight at 8:30 and lasting for 48 hours after that.
